Since God is continuously blessing us with abundance, Unity of the Hills extends itself into the community with love, light, and assistance to share our abundance.

INREACH MINISTRY - FRIENDS HELPING FAMILY
Throughout our lives, situations arise when a little help from friends goes a long way to reducing the stresses of the situation. Hospital stays, moving a household, debilitating illness, perhaps even moving a heavy piece of furniture can cause disruptions that might seem insurmountable.

Friends Helping Family is oriented to helping address the short term needs of members of the congregation and their families cope with these stressful circumstances. If you're feeling a need to lend a helping hand but don't know where to offer your help, contact us. We have incidental and short term needs brought to our attention that could use your energy and enthusiasm.
Accepting responsibility in each situation is strictly voluntary. Needs will be posted via email. A phone tree will be used for those volunteers not having ready access to email or when an immediate need arises.

OUTREACH MINISTRY
This ministry is one of our connections to the community outside our church doors.
It organizes donation programs for local organizations as well as "reaching out" to the global community.  Specifically, Outreach handles these functions:

- collection for food shelves and seasonal needs
- volunteering for various community assistance programs
- special gifts and charity
- special fund raisers

CHRISTIAN ACTION MINISTRIES
One of the organizations that Unity of the Hills has supported for many years is Christian Action Ministries. CHRISTIAN ACTION MINISTRIES(CAM) is a non-denominational local organization dedicated to providing caring assistance in Christ's name to people in crisis. CAM provides emergency assistance with food, clothing, prescriptions, rent, and utilities. Unity of the Hills collects food, clothing, money, and coupons for CAM and we encourage our members to volunteer with CAM.

RELAY FOR LIFE
Unity of the Hills also supports the annual AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY'S RELAY FOR LIFE by donations and by encouraging local participants.

MISSOURI FAMILY SERVICES (Taney County)
Each year at Christmas, Unity of the Hills "adopts" a needy family through the Missouri Division of Family Services and provides clothing, food, gifts, and a Christmas tree for them. Church members experience the real joy of Christmas by donating money and giving gifts in a spirit of love to people who have real needs.
